Poland for the weekend

 On the November 1st long weekend I flew to Poland to spend some time with my family in Wrocław and Swidnica...

living between 3 countries

i'm in krakow right now doing a teaching course, going to luxembourg after, then at some point to toronto for a visit and then back to luxembourg (where i need to work of course to get the money for that travel!). i was just thinking today how i really like living between these 3 countries - it's quite interesting, i do different things in each and enjoy/dislike different aspects about each (unfortunately, luxembourg has the honour of getting the most dislike - its size will always keep it lower on my list). my wallet is stuffed full with different bank and id cards!

Alicante weekend

we went to alicante, spain a few weekends ago to get away from the winter. it was a nice 15-20 degrees most of the time, and very sunny. it was my first time in spain and i really liked the relaxed atmosphere, people sitting outside everywhere chatting, and the fact that families with children filled the parks at 10pm on a saturday night! a very different place to luxembourg, that's for sure.

Change

i'm starting this blog to coincide with my move across the ocean, from toronto to luxembourg! i'm leaving in 34 hours, which is really kind of unbelievable. the not-coming-back-anytime-soon part that is. i really don't know if i'll stay or if i'll come back but for now my plans all involve europe :) and a certain someone who was obviously the main reason for my moving to a country i'm not sure i even knew existed a while ago... but it's not so much about moving to luxembourg, the tiny country, as luxembourg, the city in the middle of europe. it's so easy to travel around and i'm very excited to do it!

though subject to change depending on if/when i find a full-time job, right now i'm planning to go to poland for a week near the end of january and then spain in the middle of february. and exploring every corner of luxembourg whenever i can.

and of course i'm inviting everyone i know to visit me :)
